Great BritainA border collie reports to the police station
At the beginning of November, the border collie Rosie proved that she can do well without her owner. However, there was some reprimand at the police station.
It’s about it
In the British town of Loughborough, a ten-year-old border collie proved his cleverness.
After Rosie ran away from the fireworks, the dog ran on its own to a nearby police station.
The relief of Rosie’s owners is great.
A dog on the run in the UK knew how to help himself and walked into a police station without further ado. On November 3, ten-year-old border collie Rosie was out with her owner Steve Harper at Southfields Park in the industrial town of Loughborough. A second dog, Laser, was also part of the party.
Over the hedge
As Harper’s wife Julie said The BBC says Rosie became nervous and sought out Steve, 68. “Then when the fireworks went off, Rosie was towering,” says Julie Harper. A border collie ran through a hedge – and apparently ever since straight to the police stationwhich is located right next to the park.
Not knowing Rosie’s whereabouts, her husband sadly made his way home with Laser. In the meantime, the police contacted her. Footage from security cameras at the police station shows Rosie calmly making her way through the sliding doors and settling down next to chairs in the waiting room.
First there was a lecture
Officers first trained the dog, then gave it water and contacted the phone number listed on the dog’s tag. “I’m so happy and pleased that Rosie is doing well – and I’m very proud that she was smart enough to find her way to the police station on her own,” says Julie Harper.
