In the eleventh season, Sarah Connor took third place with contestant Katarina Mihaljevic. This year, however, viewers will have to do without the musician. The new season of “The Voice of Germany” will have to do without the interpreter of “Vincent” as a coach. This has now been confirmed by a spokeswoman for the news agency’s spot: “That’s right, Sarah Connor is taking a break from the next season of TVOG.” It is not yet officially known who will replace the singer.

But there are also other departures from the TV show. Nico Santos and Johannes Oerding are also leaving the format. Only Mark Forster remains, as the broadcaster has now announced on Instagram. “Three new coaches for ‘The Voice of Germany’!”, It is written there. The musician can expect three new colleagues in the next season. “Sarah, Nico and Johannes are taking a break this year!”

For Sarah Connor and Johannes Oerding it was the first season as a coach. Whether it will be the last for both remains to be seen. Coaches keep coming back to “The Voice of Germany”. For example, Yvonne Catterfeld went on hiatus and Rea Garvey was not on the show for several years, as were Samu Haber and Stefanie Kloß.

Lena Gercke is also taking a break

Lena Gercke will also not be seen in the next season of the music show ProSieben/Sat.1 and will take a break. “It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to suspend moderation this year,” the 34-year-old announced on Instagram at the end of March.

“As an entrepreneur, but especially as a mother, I’m more challenged than ever to let things go – and it’s incredibly difficult.” The decision was not easy for her. She does not rule out a return to the “The Voice of Germany” stage.
