SFL take on Balotelli and Constantine
The Disciplinary Commission of the Swiss Football League has opened two proceedings. One is directed at Sion striker Mario Balotelli for his post on Instagram on Monday, the other against Sion president Christian Constantin for his statements on Tuesday in an interview with Look. After the 0-0 draw with Basel, Balotelli branded the league a “mafia” and accused it of injustice and corruption. Constantine said Look, different rules apply for French- and German-speaking Swiss. He also criticized VAR badly. Because Balotelli also showed the middle finger to FCB fans at the Muttenzercurve – unnoticed by the refereeing team – the SFL has already opened proceedings against him (including a temporary suspension from cup play).
