At the beginning of November, a group of mobilized workers went on strike at a training center in Ulyanovsk. Reason: the promised money was not paid.
Bad equipment, lack of training, little time for preparation – conditions in the Russian army are said to be miserable. More and more mobilized do not want to put up with manipulation. A wave of protests has risen across the country in recent weeks.
In early October, a video emerged of mobilized people in the Belgorod region. The men complained that they had received old weapons and no food. They would also have to sleep outside in the cold. “We lived in completely inhumane conditions for a week. There is no material security, no financial support – nothing,” is heard in the video. “No one needs us, we have no training,” shout the mobilized.

And also in Omsk, the men had to sleep in the open air. According to the video, they waited several days for the promised tents.
Mass strikes in Ulyanovsk and Kazan
At the beginning of November, a group of mobilized workers went on strike at a training center in Ulyanovsk. The reason: The money promised by Vladimir Putin (70) has not been paid.

“So why should we go to war for this country and leave our families without support?” ask around 100 men from Chuvash in a video appeal. And they make it clear: “We refuse to participate in a special military operation and we will seek justice until we get the money.”
The last time the soldiers protested was in Kazan. They complained about the poor conditions at the training ground, their rusted machine guns, lack of water, food and firewood.

The propagandist insults the soldiers
Videos of this are spreading across the internet like an avalanche. Putin’s chief propagandist Vladimir Solovyov (59) also vented. On Tuesday, in one of his shows, he took a sharp shot at the man: “You say that your commander does not suit you and that you were also not well trained. But you yourself – how did you prepare? What did you do at the range to prepare for battle? Or do you think everyone owes you? What do you owe the state? What do you owe your country?”
Solovyov also insults those who have already been sent to Ukraine, but do not want to fight there and do not follow war orders.
“I have to say to those who wet their pants, ran away from the front and then told stories to please the enemy: Yes, war is hard, it is painful and bitter. But you have your holy duty! And if you’re afraid, run away and then tell everyone about it, you’re betraying your friends!” The propagandist rages: “You’re a traitor! you’ve run away You’re a coward and a deserter!”
If you don’t like the equipment, you should buy it yourself
Solovyov even insults military blogger Anastasia Kaševarowová (34). In October, she sharply criticized the commanders, who she said were to blame for the deaths of mobilized soldiers from Chelyabinsk, who died just days after the war. “Some commanders should be shot on the spot,” she wrote on Telegram at the time. Solovyov apparently did not like this criticism at all. “You’re a journalist, but you swear like a whore,” he shouts.
He calls the complaints of relatives of the mobilized “howls” and says that Russia is at war with NATO. “It’s a difficult situation. You can call it a special military operation or whatever – it doesn’t change the facts.”
Solovyov is not the only one who reacts to the men’s complaints with complete incomprehension. The governor of the Orel region of Russia, Andrej Klychkov, answered questions from the residents in a live broadcast on Monday. Some expressed dissatisfaction with the facilities. “We bought as much as we could with what we had. There was nothing else. Tens of millions of rubles were spent on it. If someone doesn’t like it, they can buy it themselves. You can’t please everyone,” replied Klychkov.
