Franz after a training fall with fractures on both legs

Max Franz cannot participate in any races this winter. The 33-year-old speedster from Austria was seriously injured during training in Copper Mountain (USA). In the fall, Franz suffered an open tibia fracture in his left leg and a complicated tibia fracture in his right leg. He also suffered a cut on his right hand. Both legs have already been operated on. Franz has three World Cup wins, two downhill and one super-G. At the 2017 World Championships in St. Moritz, he finished third in the downhill won by Beat Feuz.

9 Swiss women travel to Levi
