The tournament in Qatar will be something of a farewell tour for many footballers born in the 80s. In addition to all Ballon d’Or winners over the last 14 years, they include many other outstanding kickers. Due to their age, they have the last chance to become world champions.

One of them is called Cristiano Ronaldo. The now 37-year-old has made more headlines off the field than on it this season. Most recently with an interview in which he attacks his club Manchester United head-on. With Portugal, he wants to silence his critics again.
