David Jansson has managed the national team from the gang for eight years. The Swede is respected by players and staff alike and is considered a “nice guy”. Like outgoing women’s soccer team coach Nils Nielsen, Jansson lives in his native country with his wife and child. As a result, the 42-year-old spends a lot of time on the road.

“I’m on the road about ten to twelve days a month,” Jansson told Blick. It’s a lot of traveling, “but it helps me be a good version of myself when I’m home.” Jansson is a stay-at-home mom looking after their two sons, Bob (4) and Ted (four months). He cares about the fact that his partner Linn Lundström (36) can also have a career.
