FIFA World Cup 2022: Documentary reveals details of Rummenigge’s Rolex affair

The World Cup in Qatar is and remains controversial.

The World Cup should be about football. If it takes place in a disputed country like Qatar, it will be difficult. In the documentary “Geheimsache Qatar”, ZDF journalist Jochen Breyer looks behind the scenes.

World Cup ambassador and former footballer Khalid Salman referred to him being gay as a “mental injury”. It not only shows how society works in Qatar. The journalist is allowed to visit Salman at home. The men meet in the outer living room – the women are not allowed inside. One calls them candies, and therefore they must be covered. If they were unwrapped, you wouldn’t know if they had “been touched or bitten.”
